Merrickville.
TLA
Custom Models
A
small hobby shop in an outstanding B&B in Wilton, Ontario (Just West
of Kingston). The owner, John Licharson, is a gifted custom modeller
and keeps many useful tools in stock. He is also the area's Lenz
dealer and warranty repair centre.
Bytown
Railway Society
An
Ottawa based railway group that restores heritage railway equipment,
produces the premier Canadian rail new magazine, Branchline, and produces
a number of publications including the annual Trackside Guide.
Andrew is a member of the BRS.
Ottawa
Valley Associated Railroaders
A great association of area model railroaders that helped to get our club
started. This site has links to some great layouts in the
area. Both Robert and Andrew are members of OVAR.
National
Model Railroad Association
An
international association that provides a wealth of resources to model
railroaders that includes standards for manufacturers, award program for
modellers and some great conventions and shows. Merrickville is in
the Niagara
Frontier Region and
is in the
St. Lawrence Division.
Membership and subscriptions are handled through
NMRA
Canada.
Many of our members are members of the NMRA.
Smiths
Falls Railway Museum
Located
about 20km west of Merrickville, this museum is great place to
visit. It is housed in a former Canadian Northern Railway Station
built in 1914. They have 10 acres of things to see and do! See steam
and diesel locomotives.

that is up is some bench work at the moment, but this site will be updated

Mike
Hamer's Boston and Main Blog
Mike
Hamer's Boston and Maine Layout in Ottawa was featured in an annual issue
of Model Railroader's "Great Model Railroads" a few years ago
and it is a gem. Our club is going to visit Mike's layout in
September and Mike is going to teach us how to make trees and shrubs for
our layout. Check out the blog and join the conversation with

Michel
Boucher's Delaware and Hudson Layout
3
members of our club Andrew Chisholm, Robert Peck and Neil Lowes are
regular operators at this excellent layout in Alymer, Quebec. Two
Monday evenings a month, Michel opens his layout to a small group of
operators and runs some really challenging operating sessions.
The
Friday Night Group Blog
A
group of Ottawa area model railroad enthusiasts who meet weekly to run
each other's layouts and enjoy the camaraderie model railroading
offers. Mike Hamer is a member of this group.
